1. I N T R O D U C T I O N

Dolok Zior is a name of a small village that located in Sigumpar sub-district. And Sigumpar sub-district is located in Toba Samosir Regency, North Sumatera, Indonesia. Sigumpar sub-district is about 40 (fourty) kilometers from Parapat heading Balige. Or one hour long by public bus. Balige is the capital of Toba Samosir Regency. It is around 12 kilometers from Sigumpar sub-district.

The distance between Medan ( the capital of North Sumatera ) and Sigumpar sub-district is around 180 kilometers. It takes for about 6 ( six ) hours to get to Sigumpar sub-district by public bus from Medan.

Dolok Zior village has many beautiful scenaries, such as : hills, blue mountain, green trees, etc. It also has a clean and cool air. Beside those, Dolok Zior village is also quite. Far away from noisy town. Like Medan. Sometimes it feels like in "PARADISE" when we are there. Tourist can also climb the hills and do many activities on one of them.

The population of Dolok Zior village is now around 20 ( twenty ) Heads of Household. Or 100 ( one hundred ) people. They are friendly and greety. Most of them are farmers. They plant rice twice in a year. They also breed many kinds of livestock, like : chicken, duck, buffallo, etc.




2. WHERE TO STAY


Tourist can stay at the nearest hotels from Dolok Zior village. And the hotels are located in Porsea and Tambunan. Here are the list of 2 hotels where tourist can stay at :

1. SANTO DJAYA HOTEL ( Located in Porsea )

2. BAHAGIA HOTEL ( Located in Tambunan )





3. A C T I V I T I E S


There are 3 ( three ) main activities that can be done by tourist in Dolok Zior village. The activities are :

1. C A M P I N G
Tourist can do this activity on one of the hills of Dolok Zior village. If you do not have
camping equipment , camping equipment can be bought in Balige.

2. TAKING PICTURES
You can also take pictures or videos of the beautiful scenaries of Dolok Zior village to be
taken home after your visiting time is over.

3. J O G G I N G
There is a track that can be used by tourist for jogging in the morning or in the afternoon.
This track is not specialized for jogging. But tourist can use it . And no one will forbid.
